Q95 - The Gypsy Q Rigel Mandolin

The Rigel Q95 aka The Gypsy Q was designed by Ted Eschliman of JazzMando.com in cooperation with Rigel's luthiers to meet the needs of jazz mandolinists exploring the world of Django Reinhardt and French Gypsy jazz.

These are premeditatively voiced to replicate the sweet sound of vintage A-style oval-hole mandolins, but with modern tuners and none of the issues that so often accompany vintage instruments. The Q95 has the look, feel and sound of the best classic 'teens instruments, and at a street price that rivals the best of the rare vintage A-style instruments that have structurally withheld the test of time.

Featuring the classical oval-hole shape, the Q95 is also available with vertical soundhole (The Petit Bouche) and with f-holes and is available in any of the finishes for which Rigel is renowned. Carved of select, highly-figured Vermont rock maple and Adirondack spruce with gold or nickel hardware and a hardshell case. Pictured here is best-selling "Espresso con Pana," cream top, with espresso-burst back and sides.

Great for coffeehouses around the world... Pass the sugar.
